In today’s Coffee Chat I talk with mom and Mental Health Therapist, Carrie Pearson. We chat about all things motherhood from post-partum depression, foster care, Down Syndrome and advocating for your special needs child.

Carrie Pearson M.A. LMFTA, LMHCA is a mother, special needs mother and advocate, foster parent, AND Mental Health Therapist. She owns a private practice and loves the flexibility it allows in her motherhood journey. She is working towards a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. The official letters behind her name stand for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. She has a passion deep in her heart for moms because of her own first perinatal journey. She had a birth diagnosis of Down syndrome with her second bio son, and has a special place in her heart for fellow special needs moms. Her and her husband became foster parents this year and have felt God calling them to grow their family through foster care and adoption.
